This User Guide is organized according to the way a person might use EKP:
The Getting Started section explains logon procedures and navigation to the major functional modules of EKP
The Home section explains how to review news content and current enrollments as well as launch a course
The Learn section covers:
Review and change of your enrollment in a course module or learning program
Review of your certifications and learning history
Location of colleagues
Update of your online profile
Review of the learning plans prepared by your appraiser
As well as how to access to your personal notebook to take online notes specific to a particular course module or learning program
The Knowledge Center section covers:
Entering the Knowledge Center for a particular course and:
Review course evaluations from other students
Take notes for this course
Enter related chat or discussion groups
View related news announcements
Evaluate the course
Communicate with the course tutor or the learning group
Remove a course from your learning profile
Launch a course
The Search Catalog section explains how to search the catalog for courses and course content
The Enrollment section explains how to enroll in a course or update your enrollment status (e.g. withdraw from a course)
The Explore section covers:
Searching for news articles
Review of certification programs
Viewing of the online profiles of other participants
The Mail Messages section covers messaging functions
There is a section focused on the Public Message Board
The Personalization section covers both:
How to customize EKP according to your personal preferences
Change your passwords (although this function is not available to most users since EKP passwords are authenticated against the corporate directory service and so cannot be changed locally).
In addition, included in this User Help are a short glossary and some write-ups on SCORM.
There is also a section on Enrollment approval for those with the requisite access rights.
Note that throughout the document, the terms Page, Menu and Screen may be used interchangeability.
